Steering Wheel HOD (Hand Off Detection) is a high-performance hands-off detection solution built around driving-safety design principles, using capacitive measurement based on IQ demodulation — currently the most reliable approach available. The sensing front end uses the ams AS8579, whose capacitive signal measurement technology outperforms every comparable solution on the market today, greatly simplifying product development while delivering a better price-performance experience.
