Automotive RF receiver modules receive and process all of the vehicle's RF signals, including PKE, RKE and TPMS, and are required to support multi-frequency reception.
Solution Overview
This solution is built on the NXP NCK291x series. The NCK2910 is configured over SPI; once configured at power-up it enters autonomous POLLING, and after an RF signal is received it passes the RF data to an external MCU via interrupt. The NCK2912/NCK2913 expose their internal MCU, allowing users to program RF data handling directly within the RF software framework. The NCK2910/NCK2912 support single-channel, multi-frequency time-multiplexed reception, while the NCK2913 supports three-channel, multi-frequency simultaneous reception. All of these devices feature dual-antenna switching, making them well suited to wide frequency-hopping applications.
