In this automotive radio demo, the core devices SAF775D/TEF6638 integrate audio and radio processing, a sample rate converter, and both digital and analog audio outputs, delivering optimum reception performance and improved listening clarity. The solution targets mid- to high-performance car radios and audio systems. The SAF775D/TEF6638 are AEC-Q100 qualified devices supporting analog AM/FM/WX (SAF775D) and HD/DRM reception, multiple analog and digital audio inputs/outputs, an Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) decryption engine (SAF775D), and advanced audio algorithms running on a HiFi 2 DSP (SAF775D).
Key Points
- MCU with functional safety
- AMP with diagnostics
- PHY with diagnostics
- Fully open low-level drivers
- GUI tool for tuner parameter tuning and debugging
Solution Overview
This solution combines DSP and Radio: the front end can take audio input over Ethernet and other interfaces, while the back end can output digital or analog audio signals to the power amplifier, allowing the performance of the solution to be evaluated end to end.
