PEPS (Passive Entry Passive Start) is an automotive electronics technology that has matured in recent years. On a vehicle equipped with a PEPS system, the owner simply carries the key fob and never has to take it out to unlock and lock the doors, open the trunk, start the vehicle or switch on the headlamps automatically, making the car far more convenient to use.
Solution Overview
The key fob is built on the NCF29A1 single-chip solution, which integrates 3D LF reception and RF transmission with an on-chip transponder. On the base station side, LF driving is handled by the NJJ29C0 with six integrated LF drivers delivering up to 1A per channel; RF reception uses the 3-channel NCK2913 with frequency-hopping support. The UJA1075 integrates an LDO plus CAN/LIN transceivers for efficient resource consolidation, and the NCV7240 automotive-grade high-/low-side driver controls the IGN/START power outputs.
